I am dually licensed both as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider and as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I hold a license in Tennessee and Florida.
I have a Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. In addition, I have a M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Connecticut and a M.Ed. in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. I have been in mental health for almost 20 years working in Hawaii, Connecticut and Tennessee.
In the psychology and counseling field, I have co-authored academic journal articles and book chapters, taught Introduction to Psychology as adjunct faculty, trained at an addiction treatment facility, and worked in medical family therapy at a family medicine clinic.
I am a Nationally Certified Counselor and a member of Mensa.
